Stand with Ukraine – Ballet for Peace Gala sees dancers from some of the most prestigious theatres in the world come together to help raise funds for Ukraine at the San Carlo Theatre in Naples, Italy on 4 April. With the extraordinary presence of four principal dancers from the Kyiv Opera, who have just escaped from the war, the artists shared their talent and their hearts for a special evening in the name of Peace.
At the initiative of Alessio Carbone, former Principal Dancer of the Paris Opera Ballet, the evening presented a succession of pas-de-deux and solos from the great classical and contemporary repertoire. All proceeds from the evening go directly to aid Ukraine.
Alessio Carbone declares, “Dance has the power to move, to federate and this is the origin of the idea of this show. We will use the strength of our passion and the beautiful friendship between the dancers to help Ukraine and show the world that we remain united for peace.”
