Dance Proms brings hundreds of young dancers from around the UK and the world to the stage of the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London.

This year’s 6th Dance Proms is supported by dance stars including prima ballerina and Strictly Come Dancing Judge Darcey Bussell, showbiz legend Arlene Phillips CBE, acclaimed choreographer Akram Khan and the infamous Flawless.

The spectacular event, hosted by Matt Flint, showcased young dancers performing original choreography that ranged from ballet, tap, ballroom, modern and jazz.

All of the schools and dancers performed with energy, passion and intensity. It was a delight seeing young boys and girls enjoying every second on stage and beaming with smiles, not missing a step or beat.

There was an incredible performance from The Royal Ballet dancers Meaghan Grace and Luca Acri that absolutely brought the house down! They really showed the young talent what dreams are made of and I’m sure they will never forget the night!

Dance Proms is a really important platform that celebrates young dancers and their teachers. Watching the girls and boys I wondered how many are future professionals and no doubt the Dance Proms experience will continue to inspire the next generation of dance stars.

I want to celebrate each dance teacher, each dance school and every dancer but there are too many to name, so enjoy the photos! (If you want to add your photo, just email: savannah@thewonderfulworldofdance.com
